Solution Adopted

Efficiency just a click away: integrated support ticket and quick QR code access to the spare parts portal

The collaboration between FIPAL and Sygest took shape from the need to move away from traditional spare parts catalogs, adopting 3D technology instead to create an interactive catalog accessible through a web portal. This innovative solution eliminates the need to rely on two-dimensional drawings, allowing the direct use of the machines’ 3D models.

For the management and sale of spare parts, FIPAL chose the Web Spare Parts (WSP) platform by Sygest, a dedicated web solution that includes spare parts management and offers services related to the after-sales phase. Leveraging the technology of the Spare Parts Catalog Builder application of SYS Suite® and the data coming from the CAD, it is possible to automatically generate interactive catalogs in 3D format and order spare parts in just a few simple clicks.

In addition, Web Spare Parts, integrated with the ERP, provides real-time warehouse availability and, if a component is not available, estimates its delivery time. With the aim of offering a complete service, FIPAL‘s web portal also includes attachments with technical documentation, thus becoming a single interface for all the documents the client needs, from service to after-sales.

One of the standout features of Web Spare Parts is the visual representation, through colored cubes directly on the 3D model, of the links to the plant’s electrical and pneumatic diagrams. This integration of information allows users to quickly obtain the information they need and add the desired spare parts to the cart in just a few clicks.

The most recent innovations introduced by FIPAL include the ability to open a ticket in a quick and intuitive way: simply select the desired component in the viewer and click on “ticket”. The user and the manufacturer will receive an email with all the necessary information, initiating autonomous ticket management.

In addition, the generation of a QR code from the web portal has been implemented: by placing the code on board the machine and scanning it with a smartphone, users can access the web portal directly, simplifying the process of searching and purchasing the necessary spare parts.

These innovations demonstrate the commitment of FIPAL to continuously improving the customer experience, offering advanced and accessible solutions in the industrial packaging sector.
