Premise
The project was born from the need of SCM Group to obtain an online catalog for the B2B sector capable of:
• automate the recovery process of old 2D manuals, integrated into the internal e-commerce system;
• provide its customers with interactive spare parts catalogs in 2D format, quickly and without any possibility of error;
• select and order spare parts and obtain offers/orders online;
• always be updated in real time on warehouse availability and estimated supply times for goods.
Solution adopted
Specifically, the following SYS Suite® modules were used:
• Spare Parts Catalog Builder (SPCB) necessary for the automatic generation of databases (valid for all applications) and 2D interactive spare parts catalogues, starting from ERP, PLM data and/or other company sources.
• Web Spare Parts (WSP), web component of Sygest's Integrated Service Digital System, dedicated to the publication of digital catalogs for B2B companies, the management of offers and the sale of spare parts, the management of sales and after-sales documentation, with integration with the company ERP:
- zero effort in publishing spare parts online;
- improvement of after-sales services;
- increase in spare parts sales;
- less time in finding information;
- increase in communication with customers.
